I am currently a M.Sc. student at the University of Alberta, working under the guidance of Dr. Kathleen Munley in the SeaSoN lab! I completed my B.A. in Biology and Neuroscience at Ohio Wesleyan University in 2024.
I am interested in all things related to animal behavior, but I have a fond appreciation for the surviving dinosaurs: birds! I am currently exploring the mechanisms of individuality using the social hierarchies of cichlids. In essence, I want to understand... why are individuals individuals?!
I have worked on a variety of projects from nest building to human neuroscience to N.A.S.A.-funded plant genetics (Ask me about it all!).
I also have a passion for making myself a better instructor and helping undergraduates explore science and academia.
Outside of work, I am often playing games with my partner, making some strange artwork, watching cartoons, or just existing in nature.
